Dr. Lutz’s work has focused on intellectual property and antitrust issues in the airline/aerospace and healthcare industries. In intellectual property matters, she has evaluated antitrust counterclaims and calculated economic damages from patent and trademark infringement and theft of trade secrets. She has also assessed the competitive effects of mergers and other business combinations and has evaluated both liability and damages issues in cases involving a wide range of antitrust issues. She previously served as a Visiting Scholar in the Department of Finance and Business Economics at University of Southern California’s School of Business and Administration and has spoken frequently on appropriate methods of calculating intellectual property damages, as well as on antitrust issues in an intellectual property context.
