Dr. Cook specializes in law and economics, industrial organization, and
behavioral game theory. He has engaged in research and prepared reports
on a variety of issues, including those relating to intellectual property,
economic damages, antitrust and competition policy, and auctions. He
has analyzed the competitive consequences of various settlements of
intellectual property litigation and has contributed to antitrust projects
involving monopolization, boycotting, predatory pricing, tying and
bundling, price fixing, patent settlements, and price discrimination. Dr.
Cook has testified on economic matters both in deposition and at trial.
He has been published in a number of journals, including the Journal of
Political Economy and the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization
and has served as a referee for the Journal of Economic Behavior and
Organization and the Journal of Risk Research. He has presented his work
and lectured on economics both in Europe and the U.S.
